Papaya plantation - Ghana

Project concept: Papaya plantation of 20 HA, irrigated using drip lines. The project is done in 2 phases. Phase A of 10 HA had already been executed.
AIP Ltd. designed the pumping station as well as the infield of the total 40 plots of trees. AIP Ltd also supplied the entire equipment for the project and supervised during the implementation.

Design of the drip irrigation plots
10 HA divided into 20 plots of open area, irrigated using regulated drip 16mm 2.2L/h.
Pumping station design
A diesel pump supplies 120m3 at a pressure of 60m.
7 months into the project
The owner predicts 60 -65 tone of yield per hectare for the first season.
